MCAS Miramar F-35 Hangar / Apron Complete

This year, MCAS Miramar received a new fleet of F-35 aircrafts, the first of 75 that will be coming to the base over the next 10 years. In order to help prepare for the incoming aircraft, Harper completed the construction of a new aircraft maintenance hangar and aircraft parking apron extension. The 100-acre extension to the parking apron included demolition, reconstruction, and extension of airfield pavement. The renovated area will support over 30 parked F-35 and C-130 aircraft. Harper Construction continues work just down the road on the F-35 Simulator building.
